Felicity Merriman (Shailene Woodley - TV's "The O.C.") lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1775, just before the Revolutionary War. Elizabeth, newly arrived from England, becomes Felicity's best friend. The girls' friendship is put to the test when Felicity's family supports independence in the Colonies while Elizabeth's family remains loyal to the king. Meanwhile, Felicity tries to help a mare escape its abusive owner. This is a nice movie. I love it how even though that man was mean to her and the horse, after he was out in prison she still gave him food and a warm blanket.
Felicity was demonstrating Christlikeness in character.

This movie was indeed well made. The score very pertinent, and the story well paced. The only indifference I have is that the overall populace of the period were quite a bit more in tune with God, and healthy dependance on faith, both in their attitude and conversation. Something sorely lacking in the bulk of Hollywood production, to their shame.

This movie is very good and tells the story of the real Felicity but still shows the ways that they wore and how the people back in the past talked and how people now days are so different than back in the 1700's .

I haven't watched the movie but it sounds like a really good movie.I have seen all the other American Girl Doll movies though.Except for Chrissa and Felicity and Lanie.And a few others.I suggest this movie.

I.LOVE.SHAILENE.WOODLEY. But I think Felicitys character sort of annoying. I think its funny that Shailenr Woodley, John Schneider, and Molly Ringwald are all in American Girl movies AND the Secret Life of The American Teenager. :)
