I can't begin to describe how beautiful and raw this musical is. There are some silly numbers, and some that were definitely written to be typically "tear-jerking," but there are also moments of incredible grace and beauty in unexpected situations, and in a setting that is neither graceful nor beautiful. The characters in this show are struggling with issues that are very relevant today, and we really see that. Elliot Hanna is a star and one of the best child actors I've seen, and the choreography is incredible... it's no wonder the Broadway version (note that this is NOT Broadway, I believe it's the West End) won 10 Tonys! Highly recommend.

Aweful! Aweful! Aweful! Bears no resemblance to the award winning film! It's the Disney version of Billy Elliot dumbed down to please the masses. Don't waste your time, and especially not your 50 pence.
If you haven’t seen this musical, then you are missing out! Elliot Hanna is absolutely brilliant! Definitely worth every penny, if you’re a sucker for inspirational musicals!
