Hi Brittany, very good and inspiring plan. I built it with some modifications of my own, and about a quarter of it is reclaimed or repurposed wood. Mine’s the same depth but 8′ long and with roof 9′ long as shingles come in 3′ lengths. I went up a foot higher than yours and reversed the slope of the roof as mine is next to garage wall. Also, I used deck screws instead of nails and handled the footings a little differently. I’d send you pics but don’t see how to. Recommendation: tell folks to make their cuts in the tallest 4×4 before assembling the shed; much easier and safer that way. Regards, Wayne
If you don’t use some form of foundation such as a plastic shed base, your floor is not going to remain sitting flat on a supportive surface for very long. As the soil underneath, it erodes voids will form eliminating any support for the floor.
One thing to keep in mind is that even if your base is slightly off kilter, you can always use thin strips of wood between it and your shed walls to adjust things for a perfect fit.
